MANGA,GRAPHIC NOVEL and DOODLE FICTION

MANGA

Manga (Japanese: 漫画 [maŋga])[a] are comics or graphic novels originating from Japan. Most manga conform to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century,[1] and the form has a long prehistory in earlier Japanese art.[2] The term manga is used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning. Outside of Japan, the word is typically used to refer to comics originally published in the country.[3]

GRAPHIC NOVEL

Graphic novel, in American and British usage, a type of text combining words and images—essentially a comic, although the term most commonly refers to a complete story presented as a book rather than a periodical

DOODLE FICTION

Doodle-Fiction A literary presentation where the author incorporates doodle drawings and hand written graphics in place of traditional font.Drawings enhance the story, often adding humorous elements that would be missing if the illustrations were omitted. Doodle-Fiction.

DIFFERENCE

Doodle Fiction incorporates doodle writing, drawing, and hand written graphics in place of traditional font. Often adding humorous elements causing lighthearted laughter and amusement. Graphic Novel is a comic book in book formal, with a spine instead of staples. And it is published like a book instead of magazine. Manga has a more flowy style, while graphic novels have a choppier feel to them. Most manga also have titles that were not fully translated into English, and an example of a graphic novel could be a more modern version.

SIMILARITIES

The big similarity between doodle fiction, manga, and graphic novels is that they are all ‘illustrated narratives’, they use a combination of pictures/images and text/words to tell the story.
